I love this jellyfish number craft because it helps to consolidate my student’s learning of numbers 1 to 10, AND they also look super cute and brighten up our classroom! They are super easy to prep and students will love making and displaying them in the classroom! You can find the FREE download in my Teachers Pay Teacher Store!

I like to print the bodies and legs on a range of different colours and mix them up. This way, each student has a different coloured head and legs!

First, I give my students just the leg page. My students used crayons to draw on dots to match each number. However, you could paint, stickers or bingo blotters to make the dots for each number! It really is up to you and your students. I love seeing all the creative ideas teachers post when sharing their students’ creations.

Next, I encourage students to cut out each of the legs and the body of the jellyfish. Students then stick the legs to match each of the numbers on the jellyfish body.

Once they have finished, they can then decorate their jellyfish to make them look even more bright and colourful!

I then peg them to a piece of string that runs across my classroom as a quick classroom display! They look fabulous, and I always get comments from parents.

Take a look at these fantastic jellyfish displays on Instagram…

I love the way Alycia from @teachingcolourfully has displayed them on her classroom windows! They look they are bobbing in the sea!

You can see each student’s beautiful and creative personality in this display! Thank you, Ms Inouyeng from @ms.inouyend for sharing!

How cute is this classroom display from Georgia from @missmullinsclassroom! Her students did an excellent job drawing the correct amount of dots for each leg!
